Welcome to the Official author site of Mike Ghere.

Mike is a retired Engineer, and avid reader. He wrote his first novel Broken Worlds The Colors of Change in 2012 and the seed was planted. After a brain injury he isn’t writing like he used to. He enjoys reading, hiking, camping, and catching up on his sleep, and he hopes to be able to get back to writing soon.
He has written three novels in the Broken Worlds fantasy series for Young Adults and at least two more are in the planning stages.

Conner Gepp and the Harrow Project is a YA Sci-Fi Western full of action and adventure which was released in early 2019.

The novel Spell-Bound, released in early 2023, is Mike’s first foray into Contemporary Fantasy with more adult themes and spicy scenes throughout.

In addition to his solo work, Mike has written stories for and edited three anthologies with the Fairfield County Creative Writers Co-op writing group.

In 2024 Mike had a brain injury, but we had “Eye for an Eye” ready to go, so I went ahead and published it in August 2024. https://www.amazon.com/EYE-Hraaths-Tomb-Mike-Ghere/dp/B0DDQ4PSSG

He has another book completed, but we had not discussed covers etc. so it will take a while to get this one through the publishing process. “The Princess Story” should be ready for publication in early 2026.
He also has another completed manuscript that still needs some editing so that one will take a little longer to get to print. It is a dystopian coming of age story called “Finding Hope,” and we hope to have it available before the end of 2026.
Mike is having difficulty remembering his writing and has, so far, been unable to write much. We are hoping to get him back to working on short stories, and possibly some sequels to his current works, but so far that has been very difficult for him.
We are hopeful that he will be able to write the stories that he had planned and more in the future. Meanwhile, if you haven’t read the books he has already published, check them out.
